The neighborhoods to the north of East Main Street between East, Smalley, and Noble Streets, as well as the primarily residential neighborhood between Chestnut and East Main Streets, are two lower-income neighborhoods.  They are well situated to benefit from the accessibility to employment and services that CTfastrak offers.

 

The stability of these two neighborhoods is important to the overall success of redevelopment in the station area.  The ultimate goal of this area is to establish a mixed residential and commercial, pedestrian-friendly TOD area.
